Clark County Community Habitat For Humanity Newsletter Blitz Build Update
Informational Meeting:
In the fall of 2009, Clark County Community Habitat for Humanity was awarded funding to build six new homes over the next two years in the Grand Avenue South Neighborhood. To kick things off, CCCHFH will be hosting a BLITZ BUILD event - we'll be building two houses in two days! The blitz is scheduled for May 1st and May 2nd and we need volunteers! Folks from a group known as The Habitat Road Trip Crazies will be coming from 13 states to help us build but we'll need at least 200 volunteers each day from the local community. This could be a great team-building opportunity for staff at your organization.
Please join us at the City Hall Forum on Wednesday February 10th, at 6:00pm to hear Tom Gerdy, the leader of the Habitat Road Trip Crazies, talk about the goals for the event, volunteer opportunities available, our plans for a community garden, and homeownership opportunities for families in our community. Representatives from Habitat will be on-hand to answer any questions.
