AFFILIATE/PROJECT DEVELOPMENT: Develop programs and coordinate
affiliate operations through the Board of Directors and the various committees
to increase volunteer participation and community involvement; expand and strengthen
the organization through board and committee development to build the infrastructure
necessary for growth. (Highland County, OH)
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT: Assist in raising funds for home construction
through increased community awareness and in identifying and recruiting additional
community resources, implementation of a training program for volunteer presenters,
networking in the community to build more contacts, and tracking and recognition
of donors. (Columbus, OH & Dayton, OH)
RE-STORE / THRIFT STORE DEVELOPMENT: Develop a system of management
for establishing and operating Habitat Re-sale or Thrift Stores as well as recruitment
of volunteers to man and facilitate store operations. (Columbus, OH & Youngstown,
OH)
CONSTRUCTION ORGANIZATION: Develop training and organization
systems for volunteers with the construction of houses. (Columbus, OH & Bryan,
OH)
VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT: Establish and/or implement a sustainable
system for recruitment and management of volunteers in Habitat activities and
construction projects (Columbus, OH)
COMMUNITY/FAITH RELATIONS: Establish relationships with the
faith-based community in building resources and contacts, developing volunteer
programs, creating opportunities for house sponsorship and fund raising, and in
neighborhood revitalization efforts. (Fairfield County, OH & Youngstown, OH)
VISTA Leader: Recruit VISTA Members through online ad placements,
college fairs, etc. Support VISTA Members through training, site visit and phone
calls. Assist with reporting to CNCS through Quarter Project Reports. (Applicants
must have one year of National Service with Americorps to qualify for this position)
