Habitat for Humanity of Ohio Partners

The ONE Campaign is rallying Americans - ONE by ONE -
to fight the emergency of global disease and extreme poverty. ONE is a coalition
of over $2.4 million people from all 50 states and over 100 of the nation's most
well-known and respected non-profit, advocacy and humanitarian organizations,
including Habitat for Humanity. ONE is proud to have partner organizations such
as Habitat who understand that fighting poverty is a local, national and global
issue. |

FirstEnergy Corporation contributed $1.22 million to Habitat
for Humanity of Ohio in 2007. This funding will help build more than 25 simple,
decent homes this year for families in need. FirstEnergy has provided more than
$10.5 million to Habitat for Humanity since 2002, bringing the total number of
homes sponsored by the company to more than 200. Each of the Habitat for Humanity
homes are built and certified to EnergyStar™ energy efficiency standards and located
in communities served by FirstEnergy. |

Owens Corning and Habitat for Humanity of Ohio worked
together to coordinate the delivery of donated shingles from Owens Corning's Maryland
plant to eight Habitat affiliates in Ohio. The donation will provide quality roofs
for approximately 180 homes with a value of approximately $180,000. Owens Corning
also covered the costs associated with delivering the shingles. In addition, Owens
Corning made a contribution of $50,000 in funding to Habitat for Humanity of Ohio. |

The Ohio Department of Development Grant is used to provide
development and affordability subsidies to Habitat for Humanity affiliates and
its partner families. This important program creates an opportunity for families
at or below 50% area median income to own homes at a 0% interest mortgage through
government/community partnerships and volunteer labor. The 2005 Ohio Department
of Development Grant produced the following outcomes: Leveraged $1,275,702 from
government and community partnerships; Provided financial assistance to build
19 homes in 12 counties of Ohio; Exceeded the goal of 51 beneficiaries by providing
Habitat homes to 74 individuals (44 individuals at or below 35% of the area median
income and 30 individuals between 36-50% of the area median income); and Provided
homeownership to 15 female head of households and 3 individuals with disabilities. |

Local 18 of the International Union of Operating Engineers
in conjunction with its Apprenticeship Program is a proud partner of Habitat for
Humanity. Local 18 and its apprenticeship provided the skilled operators and the
heavy equipment, transportation of and fuel to successfully do the site preparation
including, grading, basements and crawl spaces, and driveway work associated with
over 100 new habitat homes throughout Ohio. |

Building Trades Institute (BTI)
Building Trades Institute is a privately owned school committed to workforce development within the construction building trades. The Institute utilizes the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) curriculum and training certification process, and has modified traditional training delivery to allow for a quicker return on training dollar investment and seeks various state, local and federal workforce development funding to assist with training costs. Habitat for Humanity of Ohio is serving on the BTI Advisory Board and working with BTI on best practices related to building homes.

Fifth Third Bank
Fifth Third Bank has a rich legacy of community support. In 1948, it became the first financial institution in the United States to establish a charitable foundation. Today, it continues to invest the time, resources and people to help build a better tomorrow in the communities it serves. Fifth Third Bank made a generous contribution of $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Ohio over the course of two years. With Fifth Third Bank as a partner, Habitat for Humanity of Ohio will continue to advance the Christian ministry of providing safe, decent housing for so many families working their way towards independence and prosperity. |
